It takes 8 classes (If twice a week) or say a month to make ur fingers' comfortable with the frets. To start learning its alwayz better with the acoustic, electric guitar will be easy after your fingers are comfortable with the frets. Practicing after learning is very important. You can visit indiaguitartabs.com if you want to get the notes for songs. They are self explanatory. Get back to me in case you require any further help. Have a gr8 guitar day.

I enjoyed listening to my bro play for years and attempted a few times to play, but got discouraged because it hurts the fingers. I think I could play a few songs, but it also takes a knack for rhythm. It takes quite a lot of coordination. Add singing and you're really quite talented to do it all! But talent can be worked. I am glad I never gave up taking piano because it has taught me to read and appreciate music. I still really love the sound of the guitar and somehow it's a love thing I have even though my brother passed away a couple months ago.

I beleive you could get there within 2 years with enough pracitce and the right instruction. I am trying to learn right now and it's so frustrating. But just like anythng else, it takes time and practice. Keep at it and you'll be glad you did!
One more tip, get lessons from someone fun, but who knows what they're doing and someone you're not going to be embarrassed to play and mess up in front of!! And not your boyfriend/girlfriend because it stops being a guitar lesson after a while... lol...

depends on how much you practice, how much you are into it and how many other people take an interest in listening to you.
Acoustic is definitely better unless you are hanging out with your peers and they want to join you. Peers pretty much help you get better whether it is acoustic or electric.
But for playing solo, acoustic is definitely better.

I've been educating myself for approximately one million yr now and that i nonetheless have a loooooong method to pass(however i know the fundamentals and i am extra enthusiastic about my drums)! I could say anyplace from one million-10 years all of it relies how committed you're and what kind of you train. Also take into account that on the commencing u are almost always gonna hate it on the grounds that it hurts your arms, however whenever you get beyond that its an powerful software to play!
