21 is a great age to have Laser Vision Correction. You should see much better after LASIK but it is a surgery and there are risks. You should have a consultation with your local Ophthalmologist to see if you are a candidate and they can answer your questions.

PS You do not normally end up with 20/50 vision or 50/20 or whatever the previous person said. The national average states that 70-80% of people see 20/30 or better(Not a direct quote, juat a rough estimate) but most of my patients see 20/25 or better.

the laser eye surgery should correct your vision completely, and there should be no need for glasses. However, unless your vision is pretty bad, at 21, it might be a little young. I would talk to you doctor about it, but I know of people 21 or so who have gotten the surgery.
