On September 11, 2001, what happened to World Trade Center Building 7?

Building 7 was a 47 story steel framed building that fell into it's own footprint at 5:45 pm on September 11th. This has been completely ignored by the media. The 9/11 commission said it was unimportant and the fires probably caused the collapse. Fires have never brought down a steel framed building in history. A few small fires on three floors did not bring down that building, so what really happened? Why is the government covering up the truth? Why is the media keeping completely silent about it? How does WTC 7 break the laws of physics? Steel does not melt at the temperature the fires in that building were capable of reaching, so what really did bring it down? The owner Larry Silverstein admitted he gave the order to "pull it" (a term for controlled demolition) yet the media has ignored it. WHY IS THIS BEING IGNORED?

PBS made a mockery of physics, and anyone who has ever studied it could tell you..... STEEL DOES NOT MELT OR BEND AT THOSE TEMPERATURES.

"Thermate" burns at 3000-5000 degrees, hot enough to cut steel like butter and leave pools of molten iron as a by-product up to 3 weeks later as observed by clean-up crews. Here is the science and analysis of the steel without the theory:

As to the motive, the several government agencies were storing records in that building, most importantly the CIA, FBI, and SEC. The files containing the SEC records for 3 members of the Bush family in on-going investigations were obliterated, as well as the monetary records for much of the strange stock market activity prior to 9/11.

History will tell. We are too close to the events to have any sort of detached investigation into the causes of the collapse of Building 7. It may not be that the media has so much ignored it, as the fact that the overwhelming emotion of seeing the two big towers fall simply overwhelmed the "smaller " story , if you'll forgive the image.
Now, I want to say something about the questioner's statement that the issue is being ignored, or that the media ignored it. I did a simple Google search for "collapse of Building 7" and it came back with over 24 MILLION hits. The tendency of people to think that an issue is being ignored by media is a curious one, and seems to run the spectrum of political bents. It is consistently there when issues are discussed.
If the questioner would like to read a good study on building collapses, there is no better than Why Buildings Fall Down by by Matthys Levy, Mario Salvadori, and Kevin Woest. It's a totally enjoyable read, and I suggest it heartily. Buildings collapse for very complicated reasons, and often without anything near the war and destruction that was unleashed via this horrific example of hatred.

The building was targeted by the powers that be due to the CIA, FBI and hundreds of SEC files were being housed in that building. It housed the only known evidence that our President was under investigation by the SEC for selling his stock in I believe "Arbusto Energy" before it's demise and left the other stockholders empty handed. I watch alot of documentaries and check things out. I cannot say this is all true but if you watch
"the power hour" on 911 and "Loose Change Part 1 and 2, you will have many questions about the whole day. there are many many documentaries on 911 from the Pentagon, Towers and the flight taken down by the passangers of flight 93.
Just a note... my girlfriend flew out to the East Coast on United Airlines and she tried to make a telephone call, none of the 21 attempts throughout the flight ever even rang let alone connect.
Lastly, my spouse works for United Airlines, I can tell you he questions the look of the plane and the explosion right before it hits the second tower. Go on limewire,com take the free download and search videos for 911 (you will be amazed)
It is being ignored due to the power of the Bush family and their supporters.

Why are you so hung up on this? It's over, it was awful, and if what you say is true, do you think the whole truth will ever come out? Why can't people use all that energy on changing the system, so, something like this never happens again ! That would be much more positive.

ok first debris from the towers fell on #7 this caused gas lines to rupture and combined with heat and fire from the towers caused a large amount of fire . and yes fire has brought down steel buildings. steel loses its strenght at 750 degrees. anyway those fires were burning at over 3000 degrees f
first check yours i didnt say it melts i said it loses strenght. gas stoves are a lot less hotter than a building fire with contents.for more info consult your local fire dept. no inside job. also were you there? i was . i helped search the piles for my brothers you dipsh1t

There was a special on Discovery channel about this, and yes, parts of the beams did indeed get hot enough to become stressed enough to collapse. I would google around and see wha tyou can find.

the story out of the owner silverstein is that they pulled that building,the problem is that it resembles the other two as well to a tee so therefore the other two must have been the same.

It collapsed due to the weight of debris and the structural damage to the building. No? What difference does it make? No one is going to, can do, or will do anything about it anyway.

The fully loaded jet fuel of the air liners were already proven to make enough heat to weaken the load bearing beams, why can't you accept this?
