Laser eye surgery is done basically 2 ways.
The procedure is to cut a flap and then reshape the lens.

The flap is either cut with a very very sharp knife, or now they can cut the flap with a laser. (those are the 2 different ways)

All the lens reshaping is done with a laser.

Usually takes less than 1 minute to do an eye. Very quick. Doesn't really hurt, but it is a weird feeling, for sure.

Quite safe, very high rate of success. Used to be only available to people with vision within a certain range, but it has advanced and now most people can have it done. But there are still some limitations. Like, if you have thin corneas, or some other eye problem they can't do it. Most LASIX places will do the screening for free.

I began desiring glasses at thirteen. and each and every few years more potent ones.I had lasik performed whilst I was once 22. I'm 30 in these days. My imaginative and prescient continues to be 20/20. I might by no means pull off the contacts... the notion of getting to stay the ones matters in my eyeballs and pulling them out day-to-day or few days... received me to believe approximately laser. definite theres slicing and its uncomfortable.. however it is 20 mins someday, if it is performed proper. So it was once to this point the high-quality funding I have ever made with my cash. statistically speakme it is vitally reliable in this day and age. plenty more secure than whilst I did it. The reduce on your eye isn't the worst side. The worst side is they placed a style of transparent bandage over your large-open eye to keep the student in situation throughout the reduce. To me that was once probably the most freakish and worrying side. my health care professional gave me a valium proper earlier than and it helped me calm down. I did not suppose the reduce, only a few strain. it was once all performed in not up to 15 minutes. took approximately three days of blurry imaginative and prescient after which i might see flawlessly 20/20.. it was once like being born once more lol. ensure you employ a well health care professional and no longer the cheapo ones. well success!
