It depends entirely on where you live, on the west coast there is a huge following for the Hyphy Movement, a Hip Hop culture stemming from rappers E-40 and Keak tha Sneak. The phrasology "Go Dumb" ,"Get Stupid" "Ride the Yellow Bus" and "Thizzle" are all phrases describing the Bay Area Hip Hop and Urban culture.

Underground Rap...hands down. Forget the commercial minstrel show that is today's hip hop scene, go and listen to people who are keeping the genre alive. Immortal Technique, Little Brother, The Cunninlynguists, Tonedeff, Murs, Talib Kweli, and plenty of other artists are out creating good, and more importantly, original, music.

I think that Country is very hot right now. Everything in Country music is blowing up(in a good way). I mean look at Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Julie Roberts, etc. Country is hot!!!!!!!!

I believe that R&b and country is really bringing a message. i am hating whats going on in hip hop(rap) today. It seems everyone is talking about leaning and rocking..Hustling and shoplifting..I think Beyonce is bringing some real stuff..Artist like Avant,Maxwell,Erykah Badu,Beyonce,A.Keys, Nivea, Brandy, Monica,Fergie,Christina A....Also Dixie Chicks is being real right about now.
