I have two children. With the first one, my period came for about three months into it; they were not as heavy and did not last as long as normal. With the second, I missed my period all together. If you have any doubts, please be tested so that you can begin prenatal care ASAP if needed.

Like 'professional' answered, you cannot have a 'normal' period, though you can bleed during pregnancy. Most do stop having cycles when pregnant. If there is bleeding it should be scantier and darker, as the body has used this blood to produce a 'plug' to close the cervix during pregnancy to keep bacteria out of the womb. Bleeding can happen, though not often and sometimes it is hard to tell if this is your first. My first sign something was wrong was and this sounds silly but it hurt really bad to laugh. Everytime I laughed hard it hurt in my pelvic region. So we went off to the doctor and I found out I was expecting.

Periods are normal. One of my friends had her period through all 9 months of both of her pregnancies. I guess you would know if you were feeling some symptoms. A flu like aching, weird cravings, morning sickness, abnormal heartburn. The only real way to know for sure is to take a test. Then go get a check up with your doctor.

First of all, you *cannot* have a period while pregnant. Menstruation is bleeding as a result of ovulation that does not result in pregnancy. You *can* have bleeding around the time of the missed period. Usually, this bleeding is shorter, lighter in quantity, and brown or pink instead of red. But occasionally, it can appear to be a normal period.
In that case, a woman may have early signs (not "symptoms"; pregnancy isn't a disease) of pregnancy such as nausea, frequent urination, breast tenderness, etc. Sometimes she *doesn't* know she's pregnant and only discovers it later on.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

The smell of certain things made me sick perfume, fried greasy foods etc. Some women want know until they feel the baby flutter inside. You should get a test and be sure.

My sister was told by several specialists she could not get pregnant due to scarring. A year into her marriage she went to the health department and was ready to file for divorce because she was cramping really bad and having a funny discharge, she thought her husband had given her something. He did, she was 4 months pregnant. It happens.

Simply taake a test. It's simple ample. Prefer a blood test to discover for certain in the event you acquired pregnant on may 12. However do be extra cautious if you do not want to get pregnant. Use a condom, hinder intercourse practically ovulation days (mid-cycle) and seek advice your health practitioner about it.
