I have been answering questions for these kids.. but is anyone else shocked to see kids this young wanting to have sex, let alone HAVING sex... Where on earth are these kids parents? I have 4 kids.. 16, 12, 10 & 8.... Great looking, popular kids... who haven't had sex... (not that the 16 year old doesn't think every single minute of the day about it..LOL) But we keep our kids busy with sports and other activities.. what are other people doing with their kids??? And why are 12 & 13 year old allowed on computers Unsupervised??? Reckon I am just overprotective... What do you guys think?

im 13 and i would feel like my parents didn't trust me if my parents watched me everytime i went on the computer. i don't ask about this kind of stuff but i think kids r just curious. they are going thru puberty and their mind is changing. we also live in a society where sex is all over the internet and tv. it really shouldn't surprise u that they r asking about this kind of stuff. if they had sex tho that's a different issue. i think it's ok to be curious and want to kno things but i think it's wrong to go out and actually do it. i also don't think it's ok if u r addressing sex in a non-appropriate way. (i.e. putting it in terms that a hooker would)

idk if u agree with me but that's a 13-year-old's point of view on this.

You are NOT overprotective and unfortunately this doesn't scare me. Last year I had an 11 year old student ask me "how do I know if I'm pregnant?" If they are going to have sex, there is NOTHING anyone can do to stop them, the only thing we can do is educate them and let them be smart about it. If they don't know the facts about it, then they're walking into things blind and that's where we get these questions like "I came in my girlfriend, is she pregnant?" Unfortunately not everyone on here is giving them accurate answers. That question was answered by one person it depends on what part of her cycle. I'm sickened by the fact that there is little to no sex education in schools and parents can opt their children out of it. I have no problem wanting to teach your children about important things like sex on your own, but not very many of the parents that opt their kids out actually take the time to talk to their kids, much less teach them. As an educator, I see the side of things when the parents just don't care & it breaks my heart. I commend you for caring about your kids and caring enough about complete strangers to try and help them on here.

I asked a question alot like this the other day. I agree with you. I mean gosh there are 11,12,13 year olds on here askin about sex, i mean its alright to be askin but they are way to young to think they wanna have sex. Some said it was there horomones. Which is more and likely 90%of it, Alot of young girls on here ive seen from 11-16 askin about being pregnant. Im not being mean to anyone but thats real young especially 11-14. I dont know. But i Hope all works for them in the future.

Take Care.

I strongly agree. I have two children who are not allowed to be on the computer unsupervised. The oldest is eleven and I have heard that statistically most children have had their first sexually experience by thirteen. This scares the hell out of me! I think the main problem is most parents don't care what their kids are doing. It is easier to not care. My kid has a friend who is also eleven who has been busted several times for looking at porn. You would think after the first time he wouldn't have a chance to look again. Kids like this also ruin the children we are trying so hard to raise with some good values and sense.

No, you're not overprotective. I completely agree, it's repulsive to think that children this young want to have sex. It's like they have no morals, and they might be too young (or just stupid and/or naive) to realize that the relationship is going nowhere but downhill. Your kids are fortunate to have a mother such as yourself, but kids are sneaky, you never know what they're doing behind your back.

I agree with you whole-heartedly!
My daughter is 11 and definitely not permitted to use the Internet w/o supervision. I think a lot of these kids have computers in their bedrooms so mom & dad aren't really aware, which is unfortunate because this makes them suseptible to predators.
Overprotective?
Parents should naturally want to protect their children from harm, and if we don't protect and guide them who will?

Sceptileptic reminded me:
My mother teaches middle school. This year 3 GIRLS were suspended and one expelled for distributing porn!
The parents of these "little darlings" were mortified. And it's certainly not to say that they are bad parents --you can't control everything your kids do but i think communication between parent and child is key.

Maybe there parents dont care or want them to expeirence things. I perosnally dont see how much fun it could be to give birth to a child when you are 12 or 13.

These kids have parents who either 1) dont care or 2) are out there trying to make a living and support the kids. 12 and 13 are way too young. I answer them too, but really they arnt going to listen to you when you say dont do it! they want to hear that its okay. Sad really
