I'm not scared of math, chem, or physics. I took them all in university and did well.
Many studies have shown that teachers do not encourage girls to excel in sciences and without encouragement many girls do not get involved in the sciences.

Until the turn of the century, more women had math degrees than men. However, what women did with them was still not as prestigious as their male colleagues, because they were not encouraged to progress into the workforce. For instance, one woman would be a bookkeeper, while a man became a CPA. Similar to how a woman who could cook well were considered good housewives, but men that could cook well were considered a chefs...
I think that women have stopped applying their minds towards math for two reasons. One is that the people who tend to teach math in high school are also the PE teachers or the football coaches. Why? I don't really know.
But Mary Pheifer found that girls are overlooked and not called on as frequently in class after grade school. What's up with that?
I know from my personal experience in high school that I was told in my math classes that I was dumb and that I was asking questions that I should all ready know the answers to. Lets not mention that I made straight A's and B's in school until I hit high school Algebra. There I earned my first D and my first F.
This kicked me out of the advanced science classes that I so much enjoyed, because chemistry relied so heavily on Algebra, and I was suddenly missing those skills. I even tried to take the class over again, but was still faced with a seriously sexist and hostile learning environment. I thought that my experience was a fluke, but ask most women and you will find eerily similar stories.

Well both and neither.
Men do have a better developed sense of visual spacial matters, but
that doesn't make woman innately bad at math, science, or driving.
The idea started many years ago that woman were better at Verbal/Linguistics and men were better at Science/Math. This has been mostly proved false, but the stigma remains.
Overall, there is no real reason woman should fear math and science since they can be just as good at it as a man, but these are still areas overwhelmed by men which scares some women.

I LOVE math and physics (but I am indifferent toward chemistry). It is unfortunate that most females do not do give much attention to these subjects.
I believe that most females think it is boring and shopping is more fun. I believe it depends on the way a girl is raised, the way she is treated differently from the beginning, and/or the people she spends time with.

It has no longer something to do with genetics or innovations chemistry. i'm purely as fearful of math, chemistry and physics and that i'm a guy. it particularly is all hence of the social progression. females are perceived by utilising our society as being greater emotional than adult adult males, and function to that end continually been discouraged from utilising the analytical areas of their brains. yet lots of the international's maximum in call for scientists and analytical thinkers have been females.

It is the very nature of females, their chemistry is such which in general incline them towards other subjects then subjects in question. They are more loving, care giving. The world is not just made of chemistry guided by physics and math, but it is also made up of love, affection, emotions and care for others, and without which life was not possible. Because females have bigger role in sustaining life hence they incline more towards subjects which support their needs.

Women are supposed to be feminine. Girls are brought up to play tea and dress up. Alot of things that involve math, chemistry and physics tend to be more masculine.
