Because of my profession I couldn't really choose. I was taught to not look at where that particular person is at in their life and to figure out why that person did what they did. There are sometimes extenuating circumstances to make a person either want to steal or beg. Sometimes a person steals or begs in order to survive or they feel that they have no other options besides either stealing or begging. People do some weird things when they get desperate.

Well to be honest...both are repulsive actually. It's like hey if everyone else has to work and make a living just to get those things then so should you. It's not right to expect everyone else to keep you up and provide for you nor is stealing right by any means. Get a job that's your best bet and a more moral way of getting those hard to get things you want. Besides it would make you feel better knowing you didn't have to steal or beg ...you got it fair and square...yourself. :) pamela

Stealing is a crime. It also is a sin.

Begging may be the only way some people have to exist.

Therefore, to break the "laws" of God and country is, in my opinion, far more repulsive.

I think stealing is worse..I mean you never know when hard times will come on you..and if hard times were to hit me I might be reduced to begging for things until i could get on my feet..

Stealing on the other hand is just wrong..you are taking something that is not yours..begging is people giving you stuff that they don't want, don't need, or can afford to live without..they are voluntarily giving you the stuff...

Anyway...that is my story and I'm sticking to it!

I think it is better to beg. When you beg, you are recieving things with consent from the giver. If you steal, you are taking something without permission to the dismay of the owner. You can't get some things by begging though. It is too bad that people have to do either, in the world today...

Stealing is infinitely more repulsive, because it is an act of predation on other human beings. Begging is the act of asking another human being to have mercy on you, and I don't see anything repulsive about that.

That depends on the peson of course.. there are some people(many in fact) who have no remorse whatsoever and for them, to beg would be more repulsive... For me, I would find that stealing would be the more repulsive of the two.

I think stealing is more repulsive. Why? A theft removes not only posession but also emotion. Someone who is the victim of a robbery becomes more critical of the people around them. A theft changes the victims view of reality if only for a very small moment.Look at people who homes have been burglarised. They in many cases become so obsessed with the securing of their possessions and attempting to increase their level of safety that they become prisoners in their own homes.

Begging because I don't believe in the goodness in humanity to support you through begging. People should never go to jail for stealing to feed their family. However, we're not a perfect society.
