My dughter got beat up in jail, by some of the jailers , they beat her up while in jail. a friend who told me some things from another friend who worked at the jail asked me not to say anything about what infomation she had given me because it might get the jail friend insome trouble or even lose her job. What would you do if it was your child even if it ment betraying a friends trust, I know for sure that the jailers on duty that night beat her with a black jack stick, they broke her arm and she had to have an operation .The doctor said it was a black jack fracture because he had seen a million of them, Please help me make a dission.

You don't have to betray your friend's trust. Your daughter was beaten and she can tell you what happened right? If your daughter was hurt you must take action! If your friend is any kind of real friend she will understand your need to take action. Once this goes to court you can tell your lawyer that you know someone who witnessed it and they can be subpoenad and protected by law. It is a law that anyone who works for the public reports abuse whether it be physical, sexual or emotional and if soemone working at the jail saw it and did not report it they can loose their job or even their right to work where they do. For instance if a teacher does not report abuse they can loose their teaching certificate. It must be reported if seen or even if suspected. Take care of your family and good luck!

Honey blood is a hella of lot thicker then water. I wouldn't care about a friend because my daughters saftey and well being would be more important to me. I would contact me a lawyer and find out just what the hell I could do because if they let it go on with your daughter think of everyone elses that they let it happen to too. You should be the one that has enought balls to stand up and see that somthing get done. I mean think about it do they really need to have that job if they are going to beat ppl like that.

You daughter without a doubt must come first. Yes, this will put your friend in a pretty big jam, but if your daughter was in jail, she is obviously lacking something in her life, and seeking fullfillment in the wrong places. Perhaps this will show her that you care for her, and will do absolutely anything for her.

Try... reporting it without quoting the source, that way you wont betray your friend.
But if all eles fails, yes... I think you friend should understand your betrayal.. especially if he/she has a child. Its your child... help her.. what do you think she will think of you if she found out you knew and did nothing.
Its your responsibility to help her. She is helpless now, and is depending on you. Get a lawyer if necessary.. otherwise go to some non-profit organisation that can help you here.

I think Getting the help of your lawyer would be better .
Friendship is the most beautiful relationship in this world , where you can be yourself !
But as a mother ,you have responsibilities towards your daughter .I hope you understand this .

blood is thicker than water. If betraying your friend means saving your daughters life...then so be it. But if the consequences of betrayal will not benefit neither, why do it.

I can not believe that you have to even ask this question. Family should come first. Be a man and act like one.
