Actually, IKEA is a religious cult. They "sell furniture," but their real goal is to distribute catalogs to the masses (more IKEA catalogs are printed each year than Bibles, or so I've been told). The stuff in the catalog looks innocent enough, but if you read between the lines, you will see that the IKEAs are trying to send a message to convert the people of the world.

Yes, Ikea sells very nice furniture. It's not all put it together yourself. Go to the store and look around.

I will say this for IKEA... I restored 5 apartments a few years ago, we bought the IKEA cabinets, assembled and installed them ourselves, and only spent $3,700 for all 5 kitchens, instead of buying the so called cheap cabinets at a local Home improvement store, which would have cost over $12,000 for 5 kitchens.

IKEA is that sort of place that herds you along. I'm not a fan of big shops at the best of times, but my sole visit to IKEA was horrible. Its one of those typical shops where everything is set up to make the shopper feel slightly uneasy so they are more likely to partake in retail therapy

Some of the sofas come pre-assembled. You get what you pay for; cheaper price, then some assembling required.
