It's easy : Design!!! The set designers on TV appreciate good design, and the Macs are almost always on the cutting edge of computer design. They are sleek, attractive looking machines. Witness the I-mac vs the boring beige win-boxes of it's time!

This is a common practice among the studios and the product markets. Companies such as Pepsi, Coke and in this case Apple Computers have "scouts" that deal with movie producers to subconciously plug thier products for a fee and free advertising.
Case example: Superman 2 with Christopher Reeve...Malboro cigarettes were pluged across a 18 wheeler during a giat fight scene.
In the new Superman Returns Pepsi has a campaign to find Lex Luthor...while I seriously doubt we'll see Superman drink out of a Pepsi can throughout the movie.

If you have any tapes of the OJ trial, look at Judge Ito's desk, Sony Computers must have profited a good sum as big as that logo was on the back of the computer.

I hope that helped .

Their designs stand out much better than the common looks of PC's. If the TV/Movie set needs to be more appealing to the eye, than they chose the nice white Macs to fill the space.

Because Macs are the most popular computers with the writers and tecchies in show business.

Apple kicks in a few bucks for a high profile shot, I'm sure.
