my little girl who is two stretches. we have had her tested for all kinds of things. they think it mit have to do with her digestive track but can not figure out what it is. we have had her allregys tested to. doctor tell me to give up but i dont want her to do this forever. it keeps her from being able to just play like a kid should. any ideas would be helpful.

That sounds like something out of The Exorcism... I've never heard of something like that... Take her to another doctor... Does she seem like she's in pain when she does it? Some people said it sounds like a siezure... but if she only does that while she's lying on the floor I doubt that could be it... But definately, get as many opinions as you need until you get an answer!

My daughter did that all of the time when she was about 2 years old.
She would start by leaning forward from the waist and reach her arms back. She would then make these elaborate circles with her hands and then she would bend forward from the waist until the back of her head was on the floor. Eventually she did a somersault. I think she must have seen some gymnastics on TV. Probably the Olympics and she was copying it.
Tell her to watch you do a Summer-salt. Try getting involved with your daughter's play and ask her if she wants you to help her do a somersault. If she is copying something she saw she'll want to copy you. The Blood rushing to their heads is not bad for them and it could actually be good for future inelegance. Anyhow don't take my word for that look it up on-line.
My daughter just turned 21 and she is a smart one. Still learning from everything around her. I do treasure those memories.

I second the second opinion. Just in case. Are you sure she is not just having fun? Does she do this just after a meal? or at a some regular time? Keep track of when she does it, and if it is patterned. Did the doctor mention seizures at all? You may want to bring it up. Find out if it is contollable or not, is she in control of her body.
I hope you figure it out and everything is okay!

It sounds like she may be experiencing a simple or complex partial seizure. Is she responsive while her head is turning? Does her head tends to turn to the same side each time? It's not a digestive problem it is a neurological problem.

your child might be double jointed and just exploring the different ways her body can move. she is 2 after all her exploration years are ages 1,2 and 3. or it could just be that she is trying to copy something she saw on tv or in a picture.
