When they run they look like a duck?

It has something to do with being top heavy. Each arm alternates front and back individually, however there are certain parts of the anatomy that bounce up and down simultaneously, causing interference on the forward arm side... This causes the duck waddle run,,, They cant escape it! Even if they put both hands up palms forward and run the carwash motion. That causes certain anatomy to bounce side to side causing an uneven oscillation. -- Dancing in a consistant slow bounce = graceful. Figure skating is on skates (no bouncing) = graceful

Is it the same person? Because your duck-runner may not be able to skate.

Your question says "women" -- so i'm guessing you mean in general?

Well, i for one, run quite gracefully -- but i skate like a duck! (if a duck COULD skate, i suppose - LOL).

apart from that bouncing, which by the way has caused men to crash into stationary objects
women are built differently.
anatomically, their forearms and lower leg are shorter than mens
