What do you think of dating-sites?

Have you heard of anyone who met through a site? Do you think it's possible to meet "the right one"? How long do you think you should wait before you actually meet them?

My close friend has actually met guys through dating sites...she does it often actually...i believe it was americansingles.com...she met this guy and went out with him for like a year and a half...i dont believe in meeting people through sites... but i guess anything is possible...my friend is still sprung on this guy and hopes to get back with him one day....eh!
