the first ever commercial phone: the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. The phone originally cost $3995 in 1983. The "brick", as it was also called, weighed 28-ounces, had an LED display, memory to store thirty "dialing locations," and enough battery life for 30 minutes of talk time and eight hours of standby.

All I know was back in the day they had analog phones (still some floating around) and they were big and ugly! You know what I'm talking about, right? My mom (bless her heart) asked me if she could get her big a** analog phone turned back on because her Motorola wasn't working properly!
