I know that a P3 requires SDRAM and i was wondering if a P4 required any articular RAM.

Yes some P-IV also use SDRAm but most of the use DDR-RAM of 333 , 500 ,533,667 bus speed. depending on your mainborad model.

Actually P-IIIs came with SDram, RDRAM, or DDR. You P4 should use DDR or may be the newer DDR2 RAM. DDR2 RAM is backwards compatible with DDR, so if you are in doubt go for the faster RAM.

Without a model name and number there is no way to tell. Systems have used SDRam, DDR, DDR2, Dual DDR, etc, etc.

Try Crucial's memory tool.

It really depends on your motherboard. We need more details on what it supports, but most likely any DDR RAM should work
