What do you mean by "stay home at the age of 13?"
All depends on what you mean by staying up LATE?

It depends what u mean by stay at home........if you mean that all the time its bad because it could be a sign that they're depressed.....talk to him/her to find out if they are depressed..also take notice if any personal habits change....if they do try to get him/her some help.......also its natural that kids want to stay up late a night but they should have a regular curfew to keep a steady sleep pattern.....usually its normal to stay up later during weekends and the summer breaks, but to bed earlier during school to be energized for the next day.
