America hasn't declared that they want to abolish the state of Israel, and the President of the USA hasn't denied that the Holocaust happened. Germany has been a little touchy on Jewish issues because the rest of the world still thinks that the country is full of Nazis. If anyone tries to bring anti-Semitic issues to Germany, they will be met with a huge group of protesters, such as what is happening.

Having said that, I'd pick Iran over the US anyday. They play much nicer football.
