I want a super cheap car that is not a piece of junk. Kia is out, probably not a chevy... What about Dodge Neons? Other ideas?

Did you want a Used car or a New car?

New - Scion Xa

Used - the one granny had for 10 years and only drove to church on Sundays.

Good Luck

Cheers!

What is wrong with the Kia line of cars, I have owned a base model Kia Rio for almost 6 years. I have over 140,000 miles on it and with the exception of not changing the timing belt after 112,000 miles, I had to replace the engine.

I would not trust any American model car. Among the latest list of best rated cars, the only ones that were American made were trucks. I have noticed that the big three still do not get that you have to build a reliable car that people want. The last time I checked, the big three still only give 36/36000 bumper to bumper warranties.

The new Kia Rio was tied for best in class among all cars this latest round of 2006 cars voted on by owners. I would also recommend Hyundai cars because almost every one of their models was in the top three for their respective classes. Dodge Neons are a good car, but cost more than a good Korean car.

You've asked 2 questions. Do you want the cheapest car or one that doesn't break down? The best bang for your buck has to be honda or toyota. You may pay a bit more initially for a used one, but in the long run, you'll save on repairs. I am a salesman for a domestic manufacurer and I own 2 honda's. Nuff said!
