okay SO. I know, dont get in the water, dont wear shiny jewlery, no blood, blah blah... just gimmie statistics!??

It all depends on how much of each activity you do. If you never go in the water in an ocean, then the chances of getting attacked by a shark are 0%. If you surf in California (cold water- great whites favorite) or Florida (tiger sharks, bull sharks) then your chances of being attacked go up considerably (maybe up to 2-5%). They chance of being attacked by a shark are very slim. If you spend a lot of time swimming in the ocean beaches in the summer, then the chances that a man-eating shark has swam by you inside of 30 yards, is pretty high (maybe 50%). They just do not attack that much unless stimulated.

Just don't go in the ocean while you are menstrating. I always here about women getting bit when they are in that time. It's blood. Of course the shark is going to be interested even if you don't taste good. It's blood that attracts them!

Dont get in the middle of the ocean when you are having your menstral cycle and you will be fine.
