None-so enjoy. We had sex until the day I went into labor. Just no hard banging, if you catch my drift. Baby is cushioned in alot of water. Your a lucky lady to have that kind of hubby. Just wait till you have the baby.....wow

There are certain areas that can trigger onset of labor. One is rubbing of the hand between the thumb and index finger, the other is on the small of the back and another is on the feet. I believe there is no reason for you to go into labor just by having sex. I would say the chances are very slim. Unless the baby was completely ready to come, go ahead and enjoy yourself

It's highly unlikely that having sex is going to throw you into labor I'm assuming you're not past 38 weeks (average pregnancy span) because you still enjoy sex. But if your doctor says it's ok, then don't worry about it. You're doctor is probably a highly trained professional and he/she knows what they're doing. It's true that having sex can cause uterine contractions, however these should not be strong enough to bring your bundle of joy into the world.

Hi Jody
Thank you for answering my question. I'm actually six and a half months pregnant and we still enjoy an active sex life. I think that at about eight months you might be able to induce labor though. If you really are worried about talk to your husband and doctor and tell them about your situation. Have fun though :)

From experience,it is perfectly fine. I personally found it to get more uncomfortable as the due date approached. Just enjoy the sex for crying out loud, and stop worrying about it. It is good for a pregnant lady and also for the husband.:) The baby will come when it is good and ready in most cases.

How far along are you?
At the very end...like last 2 weeks or so...sex could help put you into labor. The semen helps to thin out the cervix and the orgasms help get contractions rolling.
If you're doctor says you're good to go, then have faith in what they're telling you.

no real risks...i had sex all the way up to the day before i ended up going into labor...but i didn't go into labor b/c of sex...it was the work-out i got cleaning my apartment the day before i was due...
so don't worry...sex won't really bring on the contractions that early

Don't worry! You won't go into labor. Your doctor says it's okay to have sex so what are you afraid of?
