I wonder if the internets done more good than bad for our way of life. Maybe if technology had advanced in some abstractly different (yet positive) direction...

It solely depends on what the person is using it for. I personally have found a wealth of info on the net that would have taken me much time and expense if I had to revert to the old method of tracking down technical information. I can find about anything I want usually at no cost on the net. I no longer have to buy that schematic or visit the local library for this info. I get a chuckle when I see someone purchase a 2000 dollar system only to use it to play solitaire or visit porn sites. There is also a plus in it for me. I repair computers so if it werent for the boobs who buy them and think that all that porn, gambling, online gaming, free music downloads, etc. is free, I wouldnt be making the cash that people pay me to clean their systems!

No - I find myself spending about 8 - 10 hours a day on it... I think it may be time for me to ditch it and go read a book (that is printed on paper - not online)
It's really getting to be a drag being able to find out anything at any time and order exactly what it is you want instead of settling for whatever the store carries. I do yearn for the days when you could have a car in whatever color you wanted, as long as it was black.

I use Internet most of the time. Going forward i can see a lot of laws getting passed on to make it secure and safe. It is a very good tool.

yes there are many bad things on the internet, but there are also many good helpful things. Its our choice to make the right or so called "wrong" decisions on how to use the internet.

It's like any other tool and depends upon the person who's using it. I think it's a very valuable and indispensible tool and wouldn't want to see it go away.
