Yes and no. Smokeless tobacco causes different problems than smoking tobacco. They are both adequately harm full and can both kill you. The only reason I might say that it is worse is because it can cause physical deformity because it may cause the removal of part of your face.

well maybe for people around you its more safe because there's no secondhand smoke, but its not any safer on your body than smoking tobacco because it could cause cancer in the mouth.

Neither one are really any good for you. 1 you get lung,sinus, throat cancer, the other you get lip, mouth, throat, stomach cancer. Not much of a choice!!
