try turning off ur pop up blockers ..if u are workin with Xp(service pack 2) u shud see a yellow bar appear jus below ur address bar when u are trying to dowload...jus click that and select download file...or maybe if u have a dail up connection u gotta wait for a long time....

If your privacy is set all the way, you cannot download it.
Go to internet explorer, then go to tools, click on options, then when the privacy screen comes up, go to privacy and push the lever all the way down to allow cookies.
Then go back and try to download Yahoo messenger.
