We liked the sex and he liked the special attention an 18 year old requires. He went with his peers at times overnight, but would always come home the next day. I know he wants to use meth and I gave him a choice as I quit. He moved in with his dad who lets him go out for 2-3 nights and doesn't question his activities. Recently, his dad called to see if I knew where he was. I of course didn't know. I know he has to play once in a while, but his dad really needs him lately to renovate their new house. His selfishness not only existed with me, but apparently with his dad too. I just told his dad not to worry he will come home. I feel that I have to let this guy go as much as possible. I miss his company and the sex, but he needs more nurturing from daddy and also needs to play with peers more often. I will always be a friend, but to his disappointment I want to end the extra benefits. Should I?

Absolutely, he's looking for surrogate parents and you're looking for a partner. You don't have to have a showdown about it's me or the meth, just tell him it's not fun anymore.

He's on the wrong track DAD isn't helping. I'd tell him to get his head out or else he's out.
