He called and said his grandmother was sick and he had to stay home. I believed him and later that night I called his phone to check on him and he rejected my calls. Later that week I found out that he won a dance contest at the party he was not suppossed to be at cause "his grandmother was sick." My friends think I should get rid of him but I really care about him. What should I do??

Guys lie all the time and so do girls. Just remember his excuse and when he wants to see you again tell him you can't because your grandmother is sick.

U need to let him know how u felt when he lied to u. And tell him that if he can't keep it real and be truthful and honest with u then u guys a can't be together. explain to him if u would have down that he would have been really upset and he needs to understand where u are coming from. i think once a man lies and u let him get away with it because of ur feelings for him that he will continue u to lie all the time. Girl put ur foot down and let him know u are not having it and he can walk if he pulls that mess again.

I'd be upset too if I were u, because saying the grandmother is isck( is sick) because she really could become sick. Im not saying her should have lied but! if he was gonna lie he should have used a better one then grandmother being sick.
I would confront him about this because I can tell it's bothering you and u need to know why he felt he needed to lie.

Dump his ***! my girlfriend lied about the same thing she said she was taking care of her sick grandma and she wouldn't answer my calls so then i went to her house and caught her with some guy! In a relationship there should be no need for lies trust me if he cant be honest he doesn't deserve you and his lies will just keep on coming.

You shouldn't dump someone just because of one lie. You two need to talk things out and make sure both of you know that you want to have an honest relationship.
There are going to be times that either you or him are going to want to spend time by yourselves or with other friends and you should be honest with each other.
If you talk to him about all of this and he lies to you again then you should think about if your relationship is really worth going through all of those lies.

i think that if he lied, & you really care about him, then u should sit down & talk to him & let him know that you don't want any more dishonesty between the 2 of you, & that maybe you would have liked to have gone, & watched him dance. Get involved in each others life, & good luck to you.

That's simple. Do what you feel is right, to be honest with you you can normally tell when a guy is cheating. If you have that feeling than go with it but if you trust him than why dump him? Just because your friends told you to. Remember is your love life not theirs, just follow your own instinct. Yes I know sounds simple but it works, trust me on this one.

It is your decision to dump him or not but he will do it again and he will also realise you will fall for it every time. Maybe there was something else he was doing at that party? He lied once you know....

End the relationship. Why? 1) You are teaching him you will not put up with lying. 2) It will be a test to see how much he wants to be with you.
If he wants you, you guy will get back together. Just make sure you really want him.

He sounds a little immature, I would dump him and tell him to call you when he grows up. There has to be honesty in a relationship. And to avoid your calls and lie to you was childish.

What a jerk! Tell him how you feel. Be honest. Why would he want to go somewhere with out you there? That is kinda messed up. Find someone who wouln't lie to you!
