Ok, so, I'm going to the dermatolagist tomarrow to get two moles removed...they are not very big, but they bug me. So, my mom said they give you some kind of shot and then scrape it off? So, if any of you have had moles (not warts) removed before, can you tell me EXACTLY what it feels like and EXACTLY what they do? Also, is there a scar and if so, how long does it last? Some other questions I would like answered is, "How bad do the shots hurt?" and "Does the actual mole-scraping thing hurt?" Thank you so much and if your not going to give a serious answer, don't bother answering at all.

The shot stings for a few seconds. When the Dr. cuts it off, you don't really feel it. It can leave a scar depending on the size - but it will fade in a few months. The worst part is the numbing shot - but it's really not so bad. Good luck.

I've had moles removed from my back and it is no big deal. It's true, the worst thing for me was the local anaesthetic injection. It felt like a very deep scratch. After that, all I felt was the pressure as the plastic surgeon removed them. There was no pain afterward.

The wounds were then dressed and reviewed at the surgeon's rooms a few days later for stitches to be taken out. There were some scars (due to my age and ethnicity) but these faded over months. They were very subtle on my face.

Best of luck and I hope the answer is serious enough for you.
