I know I could.It is all how you respect the people that live in the hood.If you punk em off you will have problems.If you treat them right and be cool you will fit in and make some friends.I know lots of people in this world including some that still live in the hood.They dont bother me at all
cause they know me and word gets around.But you must not be a racist or we will find you dead on some street corner.Mostly it is terrortorial and respect.MYOB and Live {Not personally intended}

There are many forms of ghetto; one does not have to be in the slums of the city to be in the ghettos. I think when a person loses their dignity and self esteem because of certain down falls in life that's ghetto; When a man walks out on his family leaving them with nothing to survive with and they have to struggle that's ghetto; when women are raped, children molested, raped and killed that's ghetto. When our soldiers go to war and come back home all crippled and amputated and have families that have to still struggle to make ends meet that's ghetto. When we have people that are losing their jobs and looking for jobs when there are no jobs; and they lose their homes and have to look for another place to live that's ghetto. When we lose love ones to drugs, alcohol, gang killings, drunk driving, road rage and so on that's ghetto. But somehow through all and in all this choas, depression and grief people do survive. So if a person is rich and one day become poor, if they think they can't survive they should take a good look around them and look at those who have survive in the worst of times. I have never been rich materially, but I found out that happiness doesn't come with being rich, because their are people that's rich and not happy; and I 've seen people that live in the ghetto and they are happy. Happiness comes from within you can't buy it. Because you would be buying it every minute of the day and you'll go broke trying to be happy. Ghetto is a form of lowliness and it's not all the time where a person lives it's a condition or state of mind that one process and you can get caught up in it with pity and self doubt and let it destroy you; or you can pull yourself up be strong and say with the help of God I will survive; and the Angels are saying; Yes with the help of God you will make it; You will survive.

I come from a prosperous middle class family, when I went to off to College I decided to really slum it while attending the University in Chocolate City. I loved my ghetto, loved the feeling, I'm not saying I wasn't victimized a few times, but I learned to survive.

I grew up in the boonies with no running water for years & a ringing washer on the back porch.Had to ride a dirt bike in & out of the holler(Hollow) so yes I could survive a ghetto. Not rich now but I do have running water & a killer washer & dryer in my laundry room.

It doesn't really depend on if u rich or not, but your personality. Just stay outta people's face and stuff. But i'd say it depends on where you are. Like...if you went to South Dallas, they don't like no body they don't kno on their territory. I go there to visit my aunt, but it's alright cuz I like tha store next to it. Course there's crack heads and stuff, lol, but its koo. Just, don't worry bout other people, and you'll make it. IF you're goin thru this situation. Me maself haven't lived in tha ghetto for a long time. But If i was tah go, i MIGHT survive, but im not sure. I can talk ghetto when needed and act that way, but I don't unless Im around those people.

The ghetto isn't as bad as you think it is. Life anywhere can be a struggle. Look at you. I'm sure you had a hard time convincing your momma not to have a post birth abortion.

most people who turned rich used to live iin the ghetto/sub-standard housing, so going back would be difficult but far from impossible.
