Oh boy do I feel for you. I have two girls, 4 and 1. I'm dreading the teen years.

Just hug her anyway, tell her you love her. Ask God for help in getting you through this. The harder you fight her distance, the further from you she'll move (trust me, my mother was so clingy I joined the Army right after high school just to get away).

Patience and serenity around her will do more to bring her closer to you than anything else. She *does* love you! She probably doesn't like you though - LOL - many 13 year olds don't like anyone, especially authority figures. This will pass in a few years, and you'll wind up on the other side with a better relationship - IF you don't screw it up now ;) Don't be overbearing, but always let her know you love her. Let her know that you know she loves you and she doesn't have to say it.

I'm really sorry for what you're going through. I SO don't want to be you ;)

Well, I'm a 13 yr old daughter and I know how she probably feels. Think about what you're doing that bugs her. {I don't like it when my mom plays old music, or says the same stuff I do...ya know, stuff like that bugs us!} You could just lighten up on some of the stuff that might bug her; and do the stuff you 2 enjoy doing together. It helps, believe me!

Don't worry about it. By the time she gets older, she'll have figured out that she was being insensitive. The way she treats you is something that she will have to deal with later in her life

hugs
aww sorry
but its a girl think i guess
my sister was like that
she looked like she hated the world and crap
but she just wanted us to talk to her
and help her with her problems and when i got her to open up she was the innocent little girl i remember she was
and now she is wicked happy and cheery!
but you just gotta be their friend and try not to nag her alot
let her have her space but be there when she needs you
its proves useful later on

Realize that's what teenagers do at one time or another . She'll outgrow it . They all do .
