Because it is corporate owned. Big business wants a docile population that consumes not thinks and wants to change things.

Because a true revolution will be a total change from the way our society operates. Those who own the media do not want to see consumerism decline. A utopian society would mean the media would eat the same as everyone else, live the same way, drive a chevy, and struggle the same.
