19. *Sacramento- Sergio Rodriguez*

He could facilitate the move of Mike Bibby to the shooting guard position in two years, given the fact that Bibby is more of a scoring guard rather than a true point guard.

NBA Position: Point Guard

Birthdate: 6/12/86

Ht: 6-3
Wt: 180
Int Team: Estudiantes Club Madrid
Hometown: Santa Cruz, Spain
NBA Comparison: Jason Williams

For Sergio Rodriquez, the nickname "Spanish Magician" wasn't given, it was earned ... His imaginitive, charismatic, off the wall playing style combined with innate leadership abilities, has earned him not only respect, but the interest of many NBA scouts ... Owns a variety of offense weapons, but is at his best when breaking down defenders with his lethal crossover, or feeding a teammate for an easy basket ... Incredible quickness and ball handling ability make taking any defender 1-1 appear effortless ... Most impressive is his ability to find the open teammate in traffic ... He has the uncanny ability to see passing lanes before they open up, thus enabling him to nearly always make the right decision with the ball. While not incredibly gifted athletically, Sergio always finds a way to get the shot up, or draw the foul when around the basket ... Hits open shots, especially in the clutch, and shoots the three ball well enough to keep any defender honest ... Absolutely loves to run the fast break, using his extreme quickness and good finishing ability to convert most of the time ... Quickness and anticipation make him a capable ball hawk, as well as a solid off the ball defender ... His nickname (The Spanish Magician) fits him well, sometimes it appears the moves he makes, and the passes he fires, aren't real ... This kid has a world of talent, and just must continue to develop.

Weaknesses: Not really a physical marvel (6'3, 170 lbs.) as his explosiveness is just average ... Not very strong and can still be pushed around by the bigger guards ... Still prone to being careless with the ball, and can get carried away trying to entertain, making impossible passes, or trying to force a three when a smart play is needed ... Often goes for the flashy play instead of the simple, smart, play Also could use some work on defense, mostly staying fundamental and exerting the same intensity and effort ... Outside jump shot also needs some fine tuning, it is very formidable now, but shot selection and shooting percentage both need improvement.

Notes: Many Spanish scouts compare him to Jason Williams because of his flare for crowd pleasing plays. However, unlike Williams, Sergio has leadership abilities that can allow him to be a better pro. Needs more experience, but has already had a two breakout games with 18 and 14 points.

best scenario is the kings trade off thomas or abdur rahim for an upgrade to backup PG jason hart. they then select hilton armstrong so he can play behind and learn from the PF they keep.

"Knits for kids" breaks down into "Baby toddler wear" and "To have and to hold" (baby blankets and doll's clothes). "It's a wrap" has chapters for "Scarves," "Cowls," and "Shawls stoles."

Sergio Rodríguez -He is thought to be one of the best European prospects of his age. He vas named the MVP of the 2004 Under-18-years-old (Junior) European championship of national teams, held in Zaragoza (Spain), where he led the host Spanish team to the gold medal. He averaged in the 8 games of that tournament 19 points, 4.6 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 2.1 steals. He is currently playing for CB Estudiantes. He was also named "rookie of the year" in the Spanish League (ACB) in the season 2004-2005.

Strengths: Rodriguez is one of the most naturally talented guards to come out of Europe in the last few years. He is an incredibly popular player in Spain and likely to develop a following similar to Jason Williams or Rafer Alston because of style of play. He has outstanding size for a point guard. He is quick and almost impossible to keep out of the lane at the European level, thanks to his smarts and amazing ball-handling skills. Rodriguez has incredible court vision and an uncanny knack for putting the ball in his teammates' hands in a perfect position to score. At the tender age of 19, Rodriguez still has a world of potential to continue to improve.

Weaknesses: Rodriguez essentially plays like a ''European streetballer'' according to one NBA scout. He is an incredibly dominant player offensively who needs the ball in his hands at all times to be effective. It’s not rare to see him trying to do too much and commit a foolish turnover. Many conservative NBA coaches will not stand for his chaotic style of play. Continuing to add strength to his frame will help him finish stronger at the basket and will help him out on the defensive end. He gets burned consistently on the perimeter and is sorely lacking the fundamentals needed to stay in front of his man. Rodriguez is a poor shooter with limited range.

Outlook: Many thought Rodriguez would wait another season before entering the NBA draft. He is still clearly coming into his own as a player and is not ready to log significant minutes at the NBA level, but he has to be considered one of the three best point guards in this year’s draft.(in my opion)

now alot of the people plagerised and and said jay williams
well i think he is like a sebastion telfar because he does't have a jump shot like sebastion when he came in the league they were both young when they came in to the league and they are both terrefic at driving to the lane ok at Defense

The Kings should be looking for the same type of player as Portland. They have a great inside presence with Brad Miller, Kenny Thomas, and Ron Artest, but lack a shooter that scares opponents from cheating on defense. A shooter would open things open for Artest and Miller to have a field day in the paint.
so with segio if he can devolop a j the kings can kill two birds with one pick
