This Political correct b.s. is driving me crazy. I just love how these lberals are trying to modify our English language. McDonald's "Asian Chicken Salad" should actually be called "Oriental Chicken Salad". And "African-Americans" should just be called "black" because they have no relationship with Africa except for their blood. And 40 percent of people on television now including commercials are black, just to be politically correct when blacks are only 13% of the American population. Why don't big companies that advertise their products using 90% non-Whites why don't they just hold out a sign that says "Kiss me I'm not racist". And "minorities" ***** and complain for no reason when they are already OVER represented on the media and public eye.

I knew PC madness was out of control when my own sister proved she was brainwashed by the liberal media.
In a list of places to visit in Europe, I made special mention of a certain Jewish Synagogue that charged an outrageous amount of money for the tour (about 5 times that of comparable attractions). I denounced it as a "greedy Synagogue".
Well.... my sister was aghast. She said, "You can't say that about Jewish people. It plays into the stereotype. People will say you are bigoted."
My response: "What if I had said, 'don't visit Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris unless you want to enrich those greedy Catholics'. Would you still accuse me of being bigoted by saying THIS?" Well, that stopped her in her PC tracks.
See? It's ok in the PC world to say that a certain Catholic institution is greedy, but you can NEVER say any Jewish institution is greedy.
Even though she is rude, insensitive, arrogant and a Little Miss Smarty Pants, Ann Coulter is a breath of fresh air when it comes to ridiculing the hypocrisy of PC.
I just have to include a quote she made.... has nothing to do with your question, but it shows her at her irreverent best:

Politicaly correct, sure is another way of being racist. The majority nolonger rules. Soon the majority will be the minority, then the majority will try and kick them out. Then the USA will be broken apart.

People can call me a name and not worry, I make one wrong peep and I am sued for all the pennies I have to my name. I am labeled a racist then because they won the case.
Seems to me I am a minority who is also the majority. Oxy moron I would say.
I ask you, though, what can we do but smile and get on with our lives.

You are absolutely right! It aggravates the crap out of me! I think we, the silent majority, have been silent way too long. I have started talking about all this political correct BS to my friends. They, too, have had enough. Any suggestions on how to end it?
