The young women have stars in their eyes. They think any movie is glamor. The jerks that trap the women and control their very souls are only worried about making a buck. It is sickening to know there is so much porn and so many women being treated like a slab of meat.
All the women are degraded; they really can't go out in public. It is not like Michael Jackson who stays out of public eye to keep from being harmed by his loving fans.
I was on a plane ride and sitting next to a porn star. I know several men stopped and annoyed her. Finally I let her sit next to the window. Oh, I was a big strong soldier.
Since it was an international flight, everyone was sleeping. A soft voice asked me if I was sleeping. I was sleeping, but said I was still awake.
She said she is an adult film star. She looked like the girl next door and had a sweet smile. After the flight she thanked me for being protective of her.
Without any probing, she said she thought being an adult star would be glamorous. She admitted it was really degrading. But, her bosses were holding her contract and most of her money. This was in 1978.

To get money. Sometimes life could be so hard on women, the only thing they could do is pornography. Women in pornography are degraded because they have always been considered as weak beings who by giving them selves up, are being dependant by the mens' money. Women who are into pornography are submissive to a dependant level and so that's why they are degraded. In some very rare cases, some of them are sex addicts, some of them are crazy to be pregnant (probably hadn't succeeded in previous marriges). A woman who probably got no attention in her child hood could be a possible pornography star because of all the attention she would get from men, to feel special. That's a good question. Did you ever watch Monster starring Charlise Theron and Christina Ricci? Charlise Theron is a hooker in the movie and ends up being a seriel killer just to get money, to live and move on...

I've been searching the internet for some sort of intelligent answer but haven't found one. It has to be out there somewhere, though. So, I'd GUESS that the reasons women get into pornography can be that pornography offers:

1. a way to get away from home
2. a way to make money, although, unless you're BIG TIME the money's not that good
3. a better opportunity than anything around them
5. a feeling of community

Some have probably been impressed into it; brought into it under duress. Others pursue it.

Well here is a great spot for a lecture. The majority of them are there because of money. Some are there because of the drugs. So here is a rule to live by. Never NEVER allow yourself to get in a situation either with money or Drugs that would cause you do do the horrible things to your body for a quick fix.

A lot of the girls are college students who struggle and it is a great opportunity to get quick money for books, classes or money to just get by on.

I assure you, your parents would do anything or give you anything to prevent you from ever doing such a horrible thing. And last, don't forget that once it is on the internet, it will ALWAYS be on the internet. You can never undo it.

I might be wrong, but I bet 90% of them would chose to give the money back to take it all away. But it can't be undone.

Please do not ever resort to this. It might be fast and easy but it's filth and you risk AIDS among other life threatning viruses. Not to mention the humilation of knowing people are watching and doing the unthinkable.

Women get into pornography because they had bad childhoods. Some women say they get into it for money, but a woman who has self respect wouldn't do it 'just for the money'. These women are in denial. Even when they say they do it because they like sex, well if you really liked sex you would do it in the moment with someone who you are attracted to. You wouldn't do it on screen with strangers for the world to see! These women don't love sex as much as they love the attention! Jenna Jameson has said that if her mother had been around when she was growing up, she probably have not gotten into porn. She also admits being raped.

i think that women get into that industry because they had a bad experience during childhood had a bad life was mistreated by rich or poor parents they were never paid any attention and this way they get all the attention they want and more most women will say for the money and some just because they like the sex and just plain are sickos

you have obviously never seen a bondage flick or else you would not be so onesided on this issue. However, there are as many reasons as there are women. Some for the money, some for the pleasure, and some for the pain.

Though it isn't always the case, often women in porn come from environments with no father figure, or no decent father figure. They also are often victims of molestation as children or rape. They believe that their only value as a human being is for sexual purposes. They only feel good about themselves if men want them.

I noticed too that often on Howard Stern when a porn star is on he goes "so who molested you as a kid?", because he knows that is often the case.

Maybe they like to have sex...especially for money. They aren't being degraded if they consent to it and get paid. It's big business.
