I am surprising my parents with a trip for their 40th anniversary. I am trying to come up with some fun way to present it to them. I am sending them to San Antonio.

Will you be able to be there to give it to them? I like doing a scavenger hunt type thing. Buy them several gifts, maybe a cowboy hat and a pair of boots for each, some luggage, an airplane pillow, etc. Make everything related to either travel or San Antonio. Wrap each item up and put them in various places, give them clues to go find the items. You can either just let them have them, or have a little question, maybe trivia or something like, or even a little game from T.V anything you like, you can be as creative as you want. Each time they get a gift, it will increase in value until in the end they find the airplane tickets, hotel reservation, brochure, etc.

You could, some way, get everything packed for them and ready to go. Then, take them out to dinner or something, tell them it is to celebrate their anniversary. Maybe you have a favorite restaurant by the airport or something. After you eat you could act like your accidently turned into the airport, or even just go to the airport and then give them the tickets, etc.
or
You could throw them a big party. 40 years is a huge milestone for them, so you could celebrate with friends and family. You could theme the party to San Antonio and then at the end of the night, present them with their gift.

I've got a good one but it will be tough. call there work tell them what your doing. make plans for their pets plant mail stuff like that tell them you need a ride to the airport on said day and ask them if they can pick you and give you a ride. have there bags already pack and when you get to the airport hand them their tickets and tell them to have a nice trip you've already taken care of everything.OR EASIER BUT BORING...BUY THEM BOTH COWBOY HATS AND WEDGE A GIFT BOX IN EACH ONE WITH THEIR PLANE TICKETS IN IT.
