ok well for graduation im wearing a knee length black skirt and my hair is black and long and im going to wear black eyeliner but with probably a bright eyeshadow and i just wanted to know what color top would look cute and not make me look so dark?, im not gothic at all or anything

Go with a lighter shade or one that compliments --pink, lavender, hot pink, --I especially like baby blue or turquoise.
Plus if your shoes match your dress, if possible, that will look great. I have these cute pink and black heels.. so it is possible to get a matching shoe. If that would look good with your gown and if not go with whichever shoe would even if it is just a nice black pair.
You know white tops look great with black, so that is an option, buy I would personally wear a colorful shirt. Congratulations!

Okay sweetie not to be mean but put the bright eyeshadow on hold until the party go for a natural look for the ceremony. As for your shirt don't go for a bright red or yellow. Try more for a cute stripped button up try for white with pink and gray or silver stripes or even black as long as the shirt is not predominately black and CONGRATULATIONS

I think that you shouldn't make it wild because it's your graduation, but you can wear some soft colors which will match the tone of your skin.

I would say pink, it goes well w/ most ppl's skin complection and really well w/ black. I would NOT do hot pink cauz i think those colors would make you look gothic.

Wear what I call sky colors-soft pinks, greens, blues or purples [maybe even orange]. Sort of pastel-ish!

light pink as well as light make-up your probably dont need make-up at all but go as light as possible be the bell of the ball
