My Grandmother is almost 50yrs and stills rides all the rollercoasters at all the theme parks. I think it's great , but my friend thinks she's gonna have a heart attack or something and told me to tell her stop(like I can make her). She's very healthly & she even takes aroebics. I hope to be like her is this crazy?

I don't think it's crazy. My dad just turned 60 this year, and he still loves coasters.

I think it is great that she can still ride rollercoasters. Why stop having fun just because you have gotten older? I hope i can do that when i get old! If you go to a doctar some day ask him.

No, it isn't crazy. Tell your friend that we grannies might be getting older, but that doesn't mean we have to sit in a rocking chair all day. I am 53, and walk 2 miles everyday, and have a full time job. And besides if it is what she likes to do, what a way to go.

She is perfectly fine riding them. It is EXTREMELY rare for someone to die on a roller coaster ride. Plus I just got back from Cedar Point and while in line for their Top Thrill Dragster I saw a elderly couple ahead of me probably around 65 waiting to board. (If you do not know about TTD it is the world's 2nd tallest and fastest coaster, something most elderly do not ride)

No sounds like a fun grandmother and let her get on with it and enjoy her later years. And 50 isn`t very old anyways.

Not crazy at all. I say...go Grandma! I'm 37 and ride all the coasters with my 19 year old, and plan on riding them with my granddaughter when she gets older.

That's great! She'll never get old as long as she thinks young! Be proud of her (your friends are just jealous!) Besides, 50 is not old.

Good for her. She's not crazy at all. Unless her doctor tells her otherwise she should ride as long as she feels like it.
