It has to be Singing in the Rain. Singing in the Rain has a longer pedigree dating back to the beginning of the movie musical. The dancing and singing hold up very well. There are stage productions of both movies, with regard to the films; Singing in the Rain is better on film, while Guys and Dolls is more fun live on stage. Also there are no bad singers in Singing in the Rain as opposed to Marlon Brando in Guys and Dolls.

Both are exceptional. I am partial to Guys and Dolls. I have both of them. I was in the operetta Guys and Dolls in high school. I have two favorite parts. When Marlon Brando is down in the sewer singing Luck be a Lady tonight. And at the prayer meeting when they're all singing sit down you're rocking the boat.

"Singing In The Rain", is not only a great musical, but easily one of the best films ever. It functions as a beautifully directed, as well as acted film, while being a vicious satire on the early days of Hollywood. Rarely before, or since has the Film industry taken the starch out of it self as it has in this film, in a way that in our day and age, they would never dare to...
...oh, and all of the musical numbers are to die for, especially the title song and "Make 'em Laugh"
Don't get me wrong, "Guys and Dolls" is great too. It just can't match "Singing in The Rain"

Personally I think the award has to go to Singing in the Rain. It is much funnier, most of the songs are better, and you got to love the huge, technicolor musical numbers that are actually not connected to the plot in any way. They just exist to be beautiful.

wow. thats a rough query! they're each particularly well at making a song, preformance and appears! i might ought to say Danity Kane simply due to the fact within the Pussycat Dolls, the one man or woman that particularly ever sings is Nicole.

Singing in the rain, I've seen both and I just seem to like SitR better. Maybe its because my school performed it last year.
