I have learned my lesson. Everybody that has insulted me has been reported! Maybe you would like to remove your answers before Yahoo does.

ummm i'm pretty sure that you aren't going to find that job. once you are a registered sex offender i'm almost positive that you are barred from teaching in any capacity.

It is commendable that you are in rehab. However, school districts have a high level of commitment to the protection and welfare of the children who attend their school system. While you may be committed to changing and pursing a career with children, many sex offenders are not successful in their rehabilitation. School administrators often do not feel they can take the chance that someone may fall back into a behavior that would put a child in danger. There may be some school districts that will consider you for a position, but in our school district, convicted sex offenders are prohibited from teaching or working with children directly in any capacity. The best to you in your rehabilitation process, it will be a life time struggle.

In KY a Sex Offender CAN NOT live within 1000 yards of a school, park or play ground.
U stay on the Sex Offender Registry List for a minium of 10 years to life. I'm retired from Corrections. U can not rehab Sex Offenders.
Once a Sex Offender, Always a Sex Offender.

Try your skills at picking up Garbage. U are equal to that. Better yet..........Put a bullet in your head and quit taking up space and air

I believe the person asking the question means he is certified to teach K-6. In answer to your question, probably nowhere, as I'm sure you already know. If the state hasn't already pulled your teaching certificate, someone has been negligent. If you are a certified teacher, you already know that you can't teach with a felony conviction of any type. If you are just dreaming of the possibility, you'd better rethink your dreams. No one can by law hire you.

I really don't think that you will be able to get a job as a teacher. I'm pretty certain you need a criminal background check and based on your past you wouldn't pass it. I'm surprised you haven't been told you are not allowed to be near school yard, parks etc. anywhere children might be found.Continue with your rehab but I think you will seriously have to reconsider your job choice.

Look an alcoholic shouldn't be a bartender, you are in the same situation. No matter how much you learn to control your illness, no parent or school board will want you around. You need to make a career change. If you want to stay in phys. ed. you need to start working in adult programs. You are not going to help yourself or society but trying to remain in childhood education, you shouldn't be there. Be realistic or you will find yourself in trouble again and some poor kid will get hurt.

I understand your conviction, but how are you teaching children now? I am confused. I bet you will be lucky to get a job at all, with the closed minds there are about such a thing.

Well if you are really serious, then to be honest it will be very hard to find a job that enables you to interact w/ children. But you can also go to your local Dept. of Labor in your city and they will help you. But first that might ask to see confirmation papers that you are healed and overcomed by your sickness. You may also need references, Good Luck!!

I don't know of any state that allows convicted sex offenders to hold jobs as physical education teachers. You wouldn't get certification.
