I checked the schedule and it said there are only two matches left for Germany to play. One was with Poland and the other with Ecuador. Is this true? And how come?

this is only the first round. they cannot go beyond the first round until all teams have finished, then they will bring up a brand new schedule. Its why the World Cup lasts a month.

yes. there are 8 groups with 4 teams and the top 2 teams go through to the next round but germany have only played 1 match so they need to play 2 more because there are 3 (4if you include germany) in that group so at the momment yes they only have 2 more matches but if they qualify.by winning or comming second in there group they will go through to the next round and continue playing until they get knocked out.
