I have wood floors and dogs, and was told by a friend, who also has dogs, that she stopped using Swiffer because of the lead content. My dogs are my "kids", and would never, knowingly, use anything that could be harmful to them...just want to make sure the Swiffer info. is accurate, since the bottle contents don't refer to lead. But, like most labels, since I'm not a Scientist, I'm not sure!

Thanks for your feedback.

they wouldn't be allowed to put lead in it! Think about it, they were forced to take lead out of paint because of the risk of lead poisoning. The guidelines would also be for the Swiffer solutions because it's something you apply and is used in houses. And by law, if it had lead in it, it would have to be listed on the bottle contents. Everything has to be listed because of possible allergies. That's a government regulation even if it isn't for food.

It was all a terrible e-mail hoax. The link below can explain everything.

From the Company...

"Great news for you and your pets! Swiffer Wet and Swiffer WetJet are specially designed to not leave a residue on the floor, so there's no need to rinse. We suggest you make sure the floor is completely dry before letting your pet walk on it, though, because wet floors can be slippery. Since there isn't a residue, there are no problems if your pet licks the floor.

No more worrying about the owner of those muddy paw prints. You can enjoy the convenience of our Swiffer products without any worries for your pet's safety."

I have heard bad things about swiffer from dog sites. I won't use any of it.
