You could actually stay in Dallas or Ft. Worth.. Six Flags is close to both. If you are planning on staying in Arlington, then I'd suggest La Quinta or Best Western.

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay at the Motel 6 in Arlington. It is notoriously bad.

The wingate is nice but expensive, the best inn is nice (has an indoor pool and gym with a basketball court) not too expensive but its not in the greatest part of town, they have security though.

I would pick up a travel guide from a dennys/Ihop etc..., (green magazine with hotel discount coupons, my wife and I usually save 20-30 dollars or more.

We stayed at La Quinta and just walked across the street to the park.
