I have a new guinea pig, my 2nd now, and she squeals really really loud, my other guinea pig never did that. Why does she do this?

when they are happy and excited. I have 2 and when we come into the room they go wild with squealing. Also when you go to feed them they will squeal or if you whistle at them. It's their form of communication. If you have a guinea that doesn't squeal at all, you may need to take them to the vet to check for illness.

Hi,

Some piggies are more vocal than others. Mine is upstairs and sometimes you can hear him from downstairs very well!

Give yourself time to get to know this new guinea pig maybe it is simply a talkative one!

Some do, some don't. Mine are up stairs on the far side of the house, one was so loud I could hear her down stairs. Your's is just a piggie being a piggie. Give them lots of love and care. The web below is really great.

when scared. If she is new she is probably scared. Mine did that sometimes. They were not tame
