It can take up to 18 months before your ovulation resumes. Keep trying

One of the side effects of birth control is that it can cause some women to take longer in getting their cycles back. This may be your problem, but it should wear off in time. On that note, it takes the majority of women over a year to get pregnant, even if they are trying. Your problem might be a combination of the lasting effects of the shot and common numbers... you only have a 20 percent chance of getting pregnant, even without birth control. Keep trying, if after two years you are still unable to get pregnant, look into getting a fertility doctor. Best of Luck.

I was on that depo shot for three years and once i stopped taking it to become pregnant i did a year later.

go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.

How soon can I become pregnant after discontinuing Depo-Provera?

It is possible to become pregnant within the first four months after discontinuing Depo.
However, some women may be unable to become pregnant for 18 months or more after the last shot

I was on it for four years, it took me another four years and six months of clomid to get pregnant again. For some people it just takes a long time.

FYI: my midwife no longer offers depo to her patients because of this.

depending on how long you had been taking the shot it will take you that long for depo to get out of your system...

I have taken depo before and it took my hubby and I 2 years to conceive

My system hasn't been the same since...you should talk to you OB/GYN as you may need hormones to start your system back up HTH

It is just going to take a while for your cycle to get back on track. Try not to stress about it, have fun and go from there.
