Maybelline and Almay are both in the 5-10 range, but I really think that they have really good quality for the price. Perfect for a low budget person who is willing to spend a little bit more money for a lot more quality.

some of the more expensive brands of make-up would be: estee lauder, elizabeth arden, clinique, lancome, christian dior, sheseido (not sure of the spelling), lancaster, chanel. These are found in higher-end department stores. You will need to check the prices in your area, but lipsticks vary in price from $18.50 to $45.00 a tube. Foundations, moisturizers, and eye makeup varies, depending on preference, but is in the higher price end as well. Hope this helps.

the brand by Id, or Bare essentials is REALLY GOOD, all minerals and is healthy for your skin. THe bottle is small but it last for months because you don't even need to use much because the powder spread so evenly. This is the best foundation in the word and the easiest to use its $20 though, but it last for 3 months i think it's worth it

MAC is middling expensive, and Chanel makes quite an expensive line. A good bet for your research would be to go to sites like beauty.com and sephora.com, where you can compare price ranges for several brands at the same place, and you will have refrences to cite for your paper, too! Good luck!.

hun if you are doing an assigment then you should get you some maybelien mascar called unstoapple its about 5 dollars and some change and also get some eye shawdow made by cover girl it works really well and stay on over night and so does the mascar unstoppable it stays on over night and makes your lashes look 10 times longer than they really are

dear brands ...christian dior,estee lauder,chanel,lancome,clarins,clinique,nina ricci,elizabeth arden,shiseido(im sure of the spelling..and its a japanese brand).
these are the dearest and available everywhere...even in developing nations..they are certainly value for money and almost never harm ur skin..especially shiseido.their make up and skin care range is a product of superb technology..i personally wear and love christian dior for their dramatic shades.
mid range cosmetics would include body shop,loreal,pupa etc
i would categorise maybelline,revlon,covergirl,almay,avon,oriflame as reasonable....

i <3 MAC too....but cheap brand are ($3 and still look georgeous) NYX, Jesse's Girl(Rite-Aid/ Walgreens), and Skin Market.....those are all that i use....
