I liked him for about ten minutes (when he was just blunt and truthful) then he was so mean that I got angry. There is a difference of being truthful and not caring what other people think and being mean to hurt other people's feelings and to get ratings. Now, I find him insufferably annoying and I wish I could go on his show just to knock him out.

I admire his talent, but do not agree with the bully boy tactics he uses, my other half is a chef de partie and the head chef bullies all the other chef's, it is very demoralising to be told you are rubbish all the time, and whatever you do is sh*t, that happens on a daily basis and this sort of behaviour should be stamped out in kitchens, it is not acceptable in an office situation and should not be acceptable in the kitchen

Yah, I was just watching a little bit of Hell's Kitchen--I didn't miss any episode last season. I don't care for him, but it seems like a lot of the top chefs have a mean streak in them.

I like him. I wouldn't work with him, but he makes for entertaining TV. I prefer the Kitchen Nightmares series - less yelling & more teaching.
