You only have one life and everyone should try to make the most of their time here. We all have dreams and goals and I personally am trying to achieve as many of them as possible while I'm here. The thing is, as I achieve one goal I set another. Maybe you are suppose to discover a new medication that will save hundreds of lives or discover some new invention that will positively impact everyone's life. You just don't know what you are here to accomplish until you start trying to achieve goals. Everyone has a purpose, whether you're the local car mechanic or the local doctor. Both these people help someone else, just in different ways. Are we all going to die, the answer is yes. But it would be nice to be remembered for having done something positive that not only impacted your life, but others as well!

Scientifically speaking, the point of all life is reproduction. Since all organisms eventually die, those which create offspring (thereby passing on their genetic information), are more 'evolutionarily fit' than others. This is why, in nature, animals will put their own lives/wellbeing at risk for the safety of their children but not their mates or parents. Also, certain insects and fish will die directly after reproduction. Essentially, reproduction is key to the evolution of a species and therefore is more important than the length of life of an individual.

God wants to have a relationship with us humans. For eternity. He gave us everything we need to do that. He gave us his only son. He gave us the bible as a guide . On how and why to live. We are here to learn and become faithful. Being a good person and doing good deeds. Is a good thing. A lot of people do that. It makes them feel good. It's not enough. Works or deeds without faith will not get you into heaven. Who so ever believe in Jesus shall not parish but have ever lasting life.John 3:16. It sounds like you are depressed. You may have a chemical imbalance. You may need to see a doctor. Hope this helps, God Bless YOU

because with that time that they have left they might change some else's life or make a difference within that other person. there are a number of terminally ill patients that have made a difference in other people's lives. Look at that little boy Mattie that use to be on Oprah all the time. When someone is sick they can bring attention to the illness that they have and it maybe the very thing that saves someones life.

Everyone has an importance here on earth, we may not always know what it is. We may never know what it is. It might be having children, or simply smiling at someone who is walking down the street having a bad day. We never really know how we have touched other peoples lives. Sometimes something we have said or done can completely change someone elses life.

Going to school and work is just to get you money to LIVE... which is whatever you choose to make your life (be it parties, travelling, studying on, whatever).
Depending on how you see death then there are a zillion different explanations: if you're Christian or things like that I guess you have to do your best to get to Paradise or some other nice place, if you're Buddhist or similar you need to improve your Karma to get (at some point) to a better place.... if you're Atheist... well... I guess living a life you enjoy is simply useful to its own self.
Why die if you can have fun? (And yeah, I did think of suicide but it's not worth it... if it's our only life why not live it and have fun)

Because nothing in life is certain and everything is possible. Why live that long and then give up? We all will die, but until then why not do all we can to have a good life?

humans want to live. like all creatures, humans minds are imprinted with the most basic primal urge: ensure the survival of the species. this means surviving long enough to preduce as much offspring as possible [we male humans are driven by this very urge ; ) ]. in human society, your status plays a big part in getting "mates" (alcohol is also known to help). status is obtained by going to school to get an education and then getting a job. school and workplaces are also places where people are in always near one another, and humans are socail creatures.

The point of living is that you're in this world for one special purpose of God. You might be dying outside but if you lead yourself to good things you will be alive in the inside. Try to make a list of all the things you have acomplished and make a list of your goals; remember when you have goals and faith you can do anything.
