The only thing that will work is "bear proof" can holders. I have tried everything. They crush galvanized cans to get the lids off and bite holes in and tear up Rubbermaid cans.

Killing a bear in your garbage should always be the LAST resort. If you have a garbage problem you need to fix the problem not blame the poor guy who stops by for a free lunch.
