I don't think that it would hurt for you to switch brands of formula. I use enfamil lipol for my 8 month old and it works good. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. If I was you I would buy a small can to try it out first that way if it doesn't settle good or you don't like it (no matter what kind you try) then you wouldn't of wasted money on a big can. I hope that this has helped you and good luck. Enjoy your baby.

That is perfectly fine. The pediatrition can tell you what the benefits are for each but if you already know then there is no reason to even discuss that with him/her. If he/she starts to get constipated though that would probably be why....personal experiance....we had to switch to no iron for a little while.

Why would you have to tell the pediatrician? Unless there was a medical problem and he/she recommended you use Nestle Goodstart, then you don't need to report it or anything.lol

find a pedatrician you feel comfortable enough with to discuss your baby's formula.... i switched my son's formula from similac to wal mart brand when he was around 10 months and my pediatrician was fine with it. it was about 5 dollars less and it has to meet the same standards as "name brand" formula. honestly my son loved it! just make sure and mention it to the doctor.

It's fine to use a different brand (generic brands are just as good)!
