Because feminists have taught women that mariage is opression. They are being taught that marriage is a "man made" method of controling and bondaging women. Yound women now relate marriage with pregnancy, and the end of their education and career.

A girl would ask the opposite question, and the answers to these questions change as people mature. It would be hard to pin down an answer to this without interviewing a huge cross-section of the population in many areas of the world. As time goes on and people get older they tend to want to be part of a long-term relationship, but being young is often about being free - for both genders.

I think it is a question of maturity. Women mature fasterand are likely to want to "settle down" faster than a guy who may like the bachelor life and not want to get married or in a relationship quite so fast

i wouldn't say there are more or less of either maybe your just looking in the wrong place. (not saying your looking) i would have said there are more girls who want to get married and more guys who just want a girlfriend

perhaps...girls are more independent than boys in many aspects.
